Despite alternative methods with significantly better results, many people prefer traditional ways of removing calluses. Calluses on the feet are often treated with pumice stones, rasps, and files. This often leads to cracks and pressure points on the feet, which can be extremely dangerous, especially for type 2 diabetics. Diabetic foot, as is well known, requires special care. This should only be carried out by an experienced podiatrist. For everyone else, effective callus removal with Mosadal fluid and Mosadal cream is recommended. But first, let's look at why sweaty feet, pressure points, cracks, and excess calluses on the balls and heels actually occur.
Why do humans even have calluses?
In the past, people had no need for a pedicurist to regularly remove their cuticles and excess calluses. On the contrary: in the early days of human history, humans even needed a thick layer of callus to hunt barefoot or with thin pieces of leather under their soles. To this day, many indigenous peoples do not wear shoes. Consequently, they also have no foot problems to complain about that are due to wearing shoes or ill-fitting socks. Instead, thick layers of callus protect the soles of such people from injuries. Compression stockings were also unknown among indigenous peoples. They were not necessary due to the high activity level of the tribe members. From this perspective, callus formation was a protective mechanism that the body used in the early days of humanity.
Meanwhile, due to modern developments and a largely sedentary lifestyle, our calluses have become more of a hindrance and visually disturbing. They are unsightly relics of our evolutionary development. It is interesting, however, that our brain still initiates and controls callus formation despite all civilizational developments. Any manual removal of calluses with pumice stone or rasps therefore initiates a new formation of calluses. One could even jokingly speak of a certain yo-yo effect. The organism still tries to protect itself from injuries in this way. This cycle can be interrupted and regulated with Mosadal. Gradually, callus formation becomes weaker with the application of Mosadal fluid. The overwhelming smell of cheesy feet also disappears with proper foot care. With Mosadal, cuticle and callus removal becomes child's play, which, with frequent use, has a long-term effect.
Removing calluses on feet with Mosadal Lotion and foot tub
Finally, even less mobile people can remove calluses from their feet easily, painlessly, and without much effort.
The MOSADAL foot tub has been designed so that the heel and ball of the foot can be precisely and specifically soaked using the MOSADAL Lotion:
For example, there is a depression at the bottom edge of the MOSADAL foot tub. The purpose of this is that the often stubborn, pronounced callus rings on the heel can be softened and removed particularly efficiently in this depression.
The central, slightly curved part of the MOSADAL foot tub with its rough surface is also particularly practical. Here, the callus can be roughened beforehand.

Simply select the areas to be treated and place a layer of cotton wool precisely on the affected areas in the foot tub. Then soak with MOSADAL Lotion and place the calloused areas on the moistened cotton wool. To increase the surface area and allow MOSADAL Lotion to penetrate the dead tissue better, we recommend gently rubbing the skin on the surface.
Now let the lotion work for 10 to 30 minutes (depending on the thickness of the callus). Afterwards, the hard callus, which has turned into jelly, is gently scraped off on the patented scraper in the middle of the MOSADAL foot tub. This is made of a particularly sturdy plastic and, like the MOSADAL stainless steel spatula, ensures efficient removal of the dead, jelly-like callus.
For the sides of the big toe, which often have particularly pronounced and hardened calluses, simply cover them from the side with a thin layer of cotton wool, apply a few drops of MOSADAL Lotion, and also let it work for 10 to 30 minutes.
To permanently protect your skin from renewed callus growth, apply MOSADAL Urea Cream to your feet once a day.
Notes and Safety Instructions
The MOSADAL foot tub is made of a particularly stable hard-shell plastic used in medical technology. The tub is therefore exceptionally stable and break-resistant.
Use the rubberized bath mat from your bathroom as a base for the MOSADAL foot tub.
Removing calluses on feet - Tips for the best possible result:
- Do not leave the MOSADAL lotion on for longer than 30 minutes and not less than 10 minutes.
- Your calluses must be dry; do not bathe before treatment!
- Make sure your skin is warm. Lightly roughen so that the surface area increases and the MOSADAL lotion can work better.
- Always moisturize calluses AFTER, never BEFORE, application. For sensitive skin, moisturize healthy skin.
- Caution: Risk of slipping after treatment, so rinse with plenty of water and rub thoroughly dry with a towel.
The integrated red scraper is removable and can also be used like a spatula for external callus removal. If your calluses are so pronounced that several removals may be necessary, simply repeat the application several times - until you have velvety soft feet!
Removing calluses on feet without a Mosadal foot tub
Soak a piece of cotton wool with Mosadal callus remover and apply it to the grease-free and dry calluses, then let the care product work. After 10 minutes, the cotton wool must be moistened again with Mosadal. After Mosadal has been allowed to work for a total of 30 to 40 minutes, the cotton wool can be removed. Now you can use the included Mosadal manicure set to gently and carefully remove the soft calluses. Afterwards, you should wash your feet thoroughly and apply the Mosadal care cream for after-treatment.
During application, place a towel under your feet to prevent any liquid from dripping onto the carpet, laminate, or tiles.
The treatment will take a total of 45 to 60 minutes. If this is too long for you, you can also wrap your feet in household foil during the application time. This way you can continue with other activities. Or you can take this time for a break. If you have wrapped your feet, put them up, relax, and look forward to the result.
